Service Agreements & Terms
Transparency drives our transit. We've outlined the legal framework that protects your cargo, defines our liability limits, and ensures safe delivery across the Davis Parcel Freight network.
Terms of Transportation Service
Our commitment to excellence is reinforced by a clear legal structure. At DAVIS PARCEL AND FREIGHT SHIPPING LLC, we believe in setting expectations early to avoid transit delays. How do we handle liability? By adhering strictly to the Carmack Amendment and industry-standard freight handling limits.
We're dedicated to providing precise transit times, though we don't guarantee specific delivery hours unless explicitly contracted. Our liability for loss or damage is typically limited based on the weight of the shipment and the classification of the goods transported. It's just how the industry keeps moving efficiently.
Transit Limits
Standard delivery windows are estimates based on 17 years of logistics data. Weather and infrastructure don't always cooperate.
Liability Claims
All claims must be submitted in writing within 9 months of delivery. Documentation is key. No exceptions.
1. Carriage Definition
Carriage is subject to the terms of the Bill of Lading. DAVIS PARCEL AND FREIGHT SHIPPING LLC operates as a licensed motor carrier and forwarding entity. Clients must ensure all cargo is packaged to withstand the rigors of mechanical handling and road transport.
Are your goods properly crated? Improper packaging voids liability protection in 84% of disputed cases.
2. Freight Charges & Payments
Invoices are net-payable within 30 days. Late fees of 1.5% per month apply to all overdue transit accounts. We reserve a lien on all shipments for unpaid charges. We're proud of our fair pricing, but we're firm on our terms.
